Brief description of the project is follows.

The client is a leading tea exporter in Sri Lanka and has taken the initiative to build the best tea production factory in the southern province as a priority to expand their business.

We were selected as the third lowest bidder after a competitive bidding process on the recommendation of the consulting firm to fulfill the client’s requirement.

The factory building consists of two stories with one mezzanine floor. Total ground floor area is 21,100 Sq.ft (211’-0’’ x 100’-0’’) and first floor area is 17,600 Sq.ft (176’-0’’ x 100’-0’’). The main structure on the ground floor level is RCC column & beams and it is a steel structure on the first floor level. Roof framework also is steel and covered with Zn/Al sheets.

Finishes of building are as follows, ground floor concrete floor finished with power trowel finish & first floor is timber floor which finished with 1’’ thick teak timber. The both internal & external side of the building at the first floor level has covered with Zn/Al cladding covering. The perimeter of the building has 3’-0’’ high block wall.
